WholeLife guides better palliative care through the systems and services that support people and families.
WholeLife Palliative Consulting believes that palliative care is about far more than the final stages of life. It is about enabling service providers to support people to live as well as possible, for as long as possible, while ensuring that patients with their caregivers remain at the centre of care in their communities.
WholeLife Palliative Consulting is led by Associate Professor Mark Boughey.
With decades of experience spanning clinical practice, health service leadership, education and government advisory roles, Mark has worked with hospitals, private healthcare providers, community organisations and policymakers to improve palliative care across Victoria, Australia and beyond.
His work has influenced service design, workforce development and policy while remaining firmly centred on the needs of patients, families and carers. This unique combination of frontline experience and strategic leadership enables WholeLife Palliative Consulting to provide practical advice with lasting impact.
WholeLife provides strategic advice, education and consultancy across the breadth of palliative care.
What we do
Strategic Advisory
We work with organisations to strengthen their palliative care approach through tailored strategic guidance. This includes service design, system improvement and decision-making support grounded in evidence and experience.
Education & Training
We deliver practical, accessible education that builds capability across teams. Our focus is on improving confidence, communication and consistency in delivering high-quality palliative care.
Consultancy & Implementation
We partner with services to turn strategy into action. From gap analysis through to on-the-ground implementation support, we help embed sustainable improvements in practice and care delivery.
Our logo
The WholeLife logo is a modern interpretation of tree rings, representing the complete story of a person's life. Each ring reflects the experiences, relationships and moments that shape who we are, reinforcing our belief that compassionate care should honour the whole person, not just a single chapter.
